Alignment and Corner Balance
What's a reasonable rate to align and corner balance an 81 SC. I just put on new front shocks and it's time to get ready for the track. I'm in philly if it makes much difference.
Thanks

Tall question with out a lot facts. Hmmmm,
"What's a reasonable rate to align and corner balance an 81 SC. I just put on new front shocks and it's time to get ready for the track. I'm in philly if it makes much difference. " 1) you're going to the track? DE, TT or autocross? 2) TIRES.....street, semi soft compound, etc.... 3) YOUR experience, use of the car, every day driver, weekend, track...... Narrow it down a bit.... ![]()

Mike is right, there are a lot of variables, but a good race-prep shop out here would charge you anywhere from $200-350 for a competition alignment and cornerbalance, depending on how far out of spec your car is and whether or not they have to re-index rear torsion bars to set ride height. Then there's the "while you're there" syndrome....

Don't pay $800. Our local (and nationally recognized) Fordahl Motorsports charges under $200 for 4-wheel alignment and corner balance. $200-$350 sounds reasonable, but some places ask ridiculous prices. Be sure to take it to a place that knows what they're doing. Check your local PCA newsletter, or ask PCA guys who does the best job.

Thanks - that's what I was looking for. The car is 80% street with 4-5 track weekends this year. It's lowered to euro spec with a set of Toyo proxies. I'm just looking for a spec alignment and corner balance.
Anyway ...I was just looking for a range. If the shop told me $600 I wanted to to know whether to be shocked or thankful. Thanks
