986/996 seats in 80's 911

How much work is it to put 986/996 sport seats in a mid year 911 (approx. 85)?
I know the rails on the seat will need to be cut to remove the angle at the driver side ends. I know holes will need to be drilled in the rails to line up with the 911's floor holes. The seats going in are 3 switch seats. How hard to wire in and anyone know what these things on the seats rails do? The seem to be spring loaded.

I was planning on installing some 997 seats in my 911.
Mounting did not seem too difficult. I was going to fabricate some adapters like these:

If your seats were not from a car with memory seat option, they should be easy to wire... just supply power and ground. You could test this in your garage with a battery and some test leads. Kind of looks like you only have two pins in that connector, so I suspect you are ok.

If you do a bit of searching, you should be able to find a wiring diagram from a 996 that shows your seats and how the connector is wired. There is a fair amount of info on rennlist for this sort of thing.
