Making RS door pulls

Hi. Lots of threads on this so I think I must be missing something as I can't figure out the pull part. I have a 1970 911, the arm rests have been removed and the mechanism for the original door pull pulls sideways. The RS style pulls requires the mechanism to be pulled inwards, is there way of changing the sideways pull to an inward pull? Cheers

Ryan,

Post a picture. The RSA door pulls are relatively straight forward in regard to the install. It pulls inward (toward the shift knob). It attaches at the bottom of the door latch cam. So when you pull inward, it rotates the cam and unlatches the door.

Just a bit of mod I did on mine: I used a small plastic spacer in between the grommet on the pull and the top of the threaded shaft it sits on in the door. This allows a bit of rotation in the pull. Use a self locking nut at the bottom and don't tighten it down on the pull. Just make sure the nut is engaged and you are left with free pulling rotating RSA door pulls.
