1972 oil level dipstick markings
i searched and could not find what the markings mean on the 1972 911T oil level dipstick
I attached a photo that one of the pelicans posted and if someone could tell me where the oil should be at 180 degrees at idle i would appreciate it.

The top line indent is max,
the bottom line indent is min. My level is currently between these lines, however I am at 210 degrees in South Florida. I should add more oil to the max line for a cooler temp.

I'd say the dimples are to keep the dipstick from rattling in the tube. Great pic in the owners manual.

Additional info. On page 14 of the 1972 911T owner's manual, when it discusses the oil level gauge, it states:
"The lower dipstick mark indicates 6.4 US qts. (6 liters) The upper dipstick mark indicates 8.5 US qts. (8 liters)"
