Anyone have a copy of 'Turbo 3.0' by Ryan Snodgrass?

I need to research something that I think can only be found in this book.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks people.
That's me -# 0255 in 1977.
I thought it was only two or three.
Much appreciated.
The book is on my Christmas list, even if I have to spring for it myself
Have you checked out the new PCA site yet -(rennbow.org)? Worth a look-see.

Great car, I was going to ask for a pic. Definitely a rare factory color with only 35 produced for the 3 litre turbo. Yes I have both my ‘77 and ‘79 on rennbow.org. I have a ‘77 Ice green which some consider as low production but per Sondgrass’ book 163 produced worldwide from ‘75-‘77. 0255 shows the car was optioned with limited slip, sport seats and sunroof. The book is a must have for any 3 liter 930 owner, incredible book.

Thanks Anthony for compliments on the book...I agree a MUST HAVE for any current or former or aspiring Turbo 3.0 owner. ;)

Ryan, nice to have you on board, thanks for posting. Oh, and thanks for doing the book.

I can’t tell you how often I refer to both books to answer questions that I have

Love Peru red! I am glad to see others chimed in to help but I was even more pleased to see the OP was planning to buy the book. I think it is important that we support those who do the heavy lifting to create true reference material of the quality of Ryan's work by purchasing them. Clearly this was done as a labor of love, not a profit center but if we don't support these people then in the future we wont see these types of resources. I own both books and its a rare week when I don't reach for one or both to answer a question. Get, the book you will NOT regret it!

Great looking car!

Update.

I found a good use for my stimulus money.

As promised, I finally broke down and purchased Ryan's book.
Well worth the money.
My copy is # 1817 of the 2500 printed.

Now I have all the ammo to back up my claims when entered in a Concours.
It's amazing how some of the judges, even on the national level, can be so ignorant of the many nuances of these cars.

Thanks Ryan - for undertaking this project.

This post got me to look for the book as I wasn't aware of it. At $400 I was kind of shocked and I'm accustomed to Porsche tax prices affiliated with this hobby. One of the comments on Amazon stated they couldn't believe there were any copies left. I realize this is a limited run book that doesn't have mass appeal, but the price knocked me back.

I'm glad everyone who has the book is enjoying it. Maybe a less expensive digital only version could be made available once the hardbacks are gone?

rsnodgrass 04-28-2020 08:56 AM

Glad you enjoyed it Bill! We priced the value of all this information (and hence a copy of the book) equivalent to about 2.5-3 hours of Porsche mechanic shop time, and tried to price it less than comparable books on the market for other marks/level of detail. IMO, it still feels way under priced for what the buyer gets! ;).

If you own an early 930 Turbo, work on them, restore them, want to buy one, sell them, etc...there is no excuses not to have the book. It will save you many mistakes and you'll learn so much more how special and important the first run of 930s were.

It definetly is an excellent book. I have the publishers edition. Really well put together.
