Radius arm toe-in bolt missing?
 

I'm just starting to prepare the bolts for removal to upgrade my torsion bars. I finished reading Wayne's article on the job and have a couple questions.

1) The toe adjustment eccentric bolt appears to be missing from my radius arm. It appears that it was once there. A picture is attached. Does this bolt belong on a 79SC and if so, where do I get a replacement? It may have been left off when the car was lowered years ago. It is missing on both sides.

2) The article in Wayne's book says the rear rotor needs to be removed to access the rear bolts on the radius arm but I can access them without removing the rotor. Is this a issue with the length of the bolt not clearing the rotor?

3) Does anyone know what the size of the two large forward bolts are? I know it is larger than 22mm but not sure how much.

You need those bolts to adjust toe. Im wondering about the state of the toe setting on you car now?

I'm sure the toe-in is off. Strangely, the last time I took it in for a four wheel alignment, the shop never mentioned that the adjustment bolts were missing. I think I'll search out a shop familiar with 911 alignment rather than one specializing in changing tires.

I'll also check with Pelican tomorrow to see if they have these bolts.

The toe and camber bolts are special eccentric bolts. This is a dealer item but may be available from PP or from a pcar bone yard.

I bet the shop who did the alignment has a good story as to how they set toe without these bolts. What are the chances they would both fall off while driving? Get them to spring for new ones (as well as a new rear alignment or at least alignment verification). I imagine these bolts are not inexpensive.
