Thermo Valve Install Question
 

Looking for a little guidance. A pic of the thermo valve on my 77 911 is below. This pic was taken when it was around 8pF this morning. Two questions... Are the brass nubs supposed to be open tubes, or how does this work. 2nd question... The tube on the bottom in the pic is from the distributor. Is this correct? If so, the two brass nubs should connect to the WUR and the throttle body?http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1564356203.jpg

Those brass nubs are for the wiring connector.
Should be 2 vacuum ports on the other side.
Connected as the blue lines are shown here to device 4. You can even see the electrical connector in the drawing on the back side:

I like a hand vac pump, great tool to have. but blow through it, it should be closed.
apply 12v for about 30sec then repeat, it should be open,

every one says you need gauges for CIS, I also say a hand pump is a great tool. there are several vac devices on your car that need to be tested.
I use mine quite a lot for more than CIS. but when I was learning CIS (on my 77) I went through each part and figured out how it worked and made sure it worked with the vac pump.

One of the ports is broken off. Dead TTV.
