964 Tiptronic Shift Gate HELP!
 

I purchased a new tiptronic shift gate for my 91 964. I'm not sure how to remove the old one without damaging my center console. I couldn't find much information on how to do it. Seems like a pull and pry job. But have no idea which end to start the pulling and prying. I do know to remove the knob first! I guess that's one step in the right direction. Anyone out there know the procedure for removing it?

Well I decided to give it a go today and discovered that you have to remove the center console to replace the shift gate. It snaps in from the underside of the console. Just wanted to share in the event someone else needs to replace their shift gate.
