Wiper slack-knock fix
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1564682718.JPG
I think this knock is due to slack in knuckles but am not sure. Whatever, sound is unpleasant at best. (This is not wiper blade flopping.) Putting tension---not much---on operating rods eliminates knock. I quick-epoxied hook onto backside of dash and used a rubber band. Should be regarded temp fix as it's possible that tension here wears parts out faster than if they were left alone. . |
Something else to check, Karl: I had a thunk sound every time the wipers were at either end of a cycle. Turns out my motor was loose from its bracket. 1 bolt was just hanging on. I tightened it and added 2 replacements and now the wipers work quietly.

^^^ I'll take a look at that... thanks Paul.

I was able to access the motor, bracket and bolts via the dashboard gauge holes.
