Porsche Crest Just like to say hi :)

I've been leeching off of this forum for about a month now, gleaning all kinds of information from the incredible people on this forum. I first went to the Bently forum for Porsche, but the question I posted over a month ago is STILL the last post So, I would just like to say hi and show a couple of pics of my P-car. Most of the people on this forum seem to be into alot of mods, etc, but what I was looking for was an unmolested (as much as possible) early 80's targa in good shape for a decent price. She's not real flashy, but she's a keeper. I just happened to get this car from a guy in Little Rock, AR and the car was in better condition than he even knew (he was not a techy guy). He was honest and genuine...not many people like that in this world; thanks Jim. This is my first P-car and I'm in love She's got 104k miles on her and runs like I've never seen a car run. In 2 weeks, I'm taking her to her first autocross and I just cant wait.

Thanks for the hospitality guys, I have to say this is possibly the best forum I've ever participated in. Some snapshots of my baby:

I've never been a fan of the black fuchs but they work really well on your car. Remember your car loves to rev

I used to think the same thing until I got my car. I had plans of replacing them with 993 cup wheels. Now, I really like them and can't imagine the car with anything else. I don't see any cup wheels in my future anymore... I hear they're too damn heavy, anyway. And remember to wait until the oil has warmed up to start rev'ing. Nice car.

Nice car man, welcome to the plot. I also agree with your forum comment, among the best and most well-informed group of Porsche owners I've had the pleasure of dealing with.

Funny how those Fuchs grow on you. That is a very tasteful car, restrained and a nice balance of white and black.

Your third pic should be titled "Hey baby, go for a ride?" ;>

I need to repaint the Fuchs and I'm considering the body color (white), but I'm not sure yet. From the time I've spent under the hood, decklid, engine, tranny, etc, the car is 99% stock. So far, there's not a single "ding" on it and almost everything works (including the clock). I like all of the "fancy" 911s out there, but there's a simple elegance to the stock 911SC Targa that I just love

Nice ride Matt & welcome. I'm fairly new to this post also but it's by far the best Porsche post around. Invaluable info and some interesting personalities too. It's addictive.
