Need help identifying wire
 
75 911 with cis injection. On the engine wiring harness there is a purple with black stripe wires. Anyone know where this wire connects to on the engine or fuel injection? Thanx L

Connects to the Points on the ‘75 distributor. Should have a double tab connector on it that accepts the wire from the CDI that also connects to the points.

Eventually... points connect direct to tach on the ‘77 and earlier cars via many different paths.

But yes, I agree, a picture would be best as some consider the engine harness to include the through body harness and even the rear fuse panel harness. Plus what OP’s have changed.....

It is generally only what is connected to the engine and can be easily disconnected from the engine bay wiring for engine removal.
