Replaced wires today and discovered a crack in the plug connector at cyl #2. Problem solved! Also installed my Steve W chip. Man, oh man...it really sweetened up the midrange and opened up the performance at WOT. Happy camper. Thanks to all for your suggestions. Don't know what I'd do without this board.

Great news, Mike! Glad the plug wires did it. I just got my Wong chip yesterday, but I'm going to wait to install it until I get my premuffler problems solved. Glad to hear that you're happy with it.

John,
Could you explain the leaky distributor comment?

Thanks

I'd say it the mixture.. if you swiched to a free flow exhaust you may need to adjust for it.. fatten the mixture.. otherwise youre running lean and all under load..

Eric,

On a Motronic car, I believe the mixture is controlled by the DME and is modifyable with chip programming...hence the recent Steve W chip upgrade.
