Changing 911 Front Brake Pads???

Is it very difficult to change your own front brake pads on a 1986 911 car. cab. ??? I have changed my own brake pads forever but this is the first IMPORT Car I've ever had. (Not a bad one to start off with, I'll never drive anything else)...anyway is there anything I should know??? Is there a wesire that might explain step by step how to do this????
Thank you once again!!!

No. Actually it is the easiest ones I ever did since you do not neet to remove the calipers to change pads. If you don't have one, get a book, it will detail the procedure.

Changing the pads, on all four corners, is very easy, they were "designed" to be changed. There's a good write-up on the procedure here.

I always replace all 4 at the same time, pads aren't that expensive, I've got the car up on stands anyway 'cause I'm typically flushing the system at the same time, and I like knowing what I've got at all 4 corners, but that's just me.

There's nothing wrong with changing pads based on wear--i.e. if the fronts are worn a lot more than the rears (usually the case with typical front-weight-biased FWD cars), just change the fronts. It's not like replacing only two of the four tires. Make your decision based on whether it's more convenient to change all four now rather than going through the whole jacking procedure and replacing the rears a month from now, not on any perceived need to "match the pads." This assumes, of course, that the new pads you're putting in are identical to the old ones you're leaving in.
