Porsches in the snow!
Just got back from a ski trip to Panorama in Canada. We spent some time in B.C. and Alberta with friends. Had a great time. I think the guys on the board who don't even take their cars out in the rain would be shocked by the several 996 TTs that I saw plowing their way through the snow, slush and sand on the roads. I was kind of shocked too, even though I take my beater SC out regardless of the weather. I guess if you can easily afford $120K, you don't really car about babying the car. If nothing else, they were getting some great use from the all wheel drive. I can't wait till I can afford to use an all wheel drive P car for my winter driver.

Great News!!!
I'd agree, Calgary is full of leased Pcars. Drove right past there on Wednesday and Thursday (Invermere, Panorama). Our family used to spend alot of time at Panorama when we lived in Calgary. A friend of ours has a 10 bedroom condo right on the palma-lift run. It's a 5 hour dirve for us now, and we haven't been for a couple years. Our local ski hill is too close for comfort. How was the snow conditions, I hope you had some? That's usually a great Spring Skiing location - we had our annual St. Patrick's day get togethers there for years. Haven't been to Hawaii for over 10 years; what a beautiful spot. A friend of a friend use to run the limo service on the big island. The last time we were there he showed us a great time! He got us a fantastic room overlooking the ocean and the pool, we were shuffled everywhere by a huge limo, we 4X4'd into some great back country and explored the island where only the locals know about. The kids were with grandparents and we had a blast! The people we met were so happy just to be living there, very nice people. If you ever come back this way to exchange your money 2 for 1 again, touch base and get some local input on your stay/visit?

Here's a picture of our last St. Patrick's day get together, 2001. Since moving from Calgary, we purchased a condo on our local ski hill and we buy a family seasons pass, so visiting other hills is limited, as the "ski budget" is huge in our home as it is......
You picked a sweet spot though, definately one of my favorites; but there are alot of great ski hills throughout this area. ![]() ![]() Guess which one is me? ![]()
