Question G-Tank Lining For 72T

I pulled my gas tank for my 72T and cleaned it out. Now that I need to put it back in, what do I do about the sticky black lining around the frame of the car. A small part of it is missing from removal. Is there a product I can use for replacing the missing parts or should I replace the entire lining (where would I find it?)

Thanks

Ron

pelican should sell the linng, just do a search for seals or weather stripping? Worth a try.

I pulled my tank last year & had it cleaned and lined to stop any further corrosion (also a '72T).
The seal is available from Pelican but listed on later models. I called and they hooked me up with this:
A-504-932-20 Fuel Tank Seal, 911/911 Turbo (1974-89) $24.50
It was an exact fit.
If you have not already done so, I'd recommend replacing the fuel lines to and from the tank as well.

It's great to see another 72T getting some well deserved love and attention!

Thanks guys.

Hey Skip, other than the 6" hose from the bottom of the tank to the the chassis hookup, what other fuel line should I replace (all the MFI hose is cracked so that needs it as well)

Thanks

Ron

Ron,
I've replaced all three hoses from the fuel pump to the filter (under the car, driver's side near the rear wheel), and the ones that go from the filter to the MFI pump, and also the return line... the filter for these is a bit expensive, but after all the cleaning and gas line replacement I felt it had to be replaced too.
