John Walker's new workshop
Thought you all might get a kick from some pics of John's new place. He is semi-retired and has moved from urban Seattle to a place an hour north in the country ... a nice, quiet 5 acre spread. Us loyal clients will happily make the trek.
The new workshop! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1565186151.jpg Auxiliary shop for dirty work (grinding, etc) and storage, my targa in foreground. Note the spanking new driveway. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1565186151.jpg One of John's 5 (I think) project cars: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1565186151.jpg And the office, complete with beer fridge to the left: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1565186151.jpg |
I hope to be able to retire like that.

how about a pic of JW.

Congratulations to John!
That's a beautiful shop and boy, am I jealous, if there's one thing I need it's an auxiliary building for the dirty work! Very nice! |
that's awesome! congrats on the move and the shop construction.
|
north of Seattle? that's it, that's just too far for me to go now.
|
OMG !!! That looks for all the world like an "unretirement" shop. All the best to John. It looks like he's close to having it all.

Very nice shop John.
I'll bet it's nice to be away from town with a little quiet space around your place. I see you have a project car with a 'Hemi'. I have a 'hemi' in my Vette. I don't think there's another street Vette in the country with Chrysler running gear. It blows the Vette crowd when I open the hood. I love to be 'off the grid' and not follow the lead cow. Ha Ha. I don't have the room you have but I do have a 4 post lift that helps an old guy get under my cars to tinker. Couple of Pics Two car garage, plus http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1565198490.jpg One of a kind http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1565198668.jpg Kids in the sun http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1565198743.jpg |
John is such a great guy and so giving of his time and talents. You just know your car is in goods hands and his advice to you is spot on. What a great place to semi retire to. Good for you John!

Been meaning to head up to John's place for a while now. Got a few things for him to do. It's not the same driving down his old street in Seattle and not seeing him there.
|
Congrats! But he used to be close to a nice brewpub, so...

Ha! A Hemi 'Vette. Well played, Sir.
John knows I am very happy for him. No more Seattle commute. He's got a nice spread which he has been upgrading and customizing. John is very comfortable now, and I am glad. |
