Are the stalks interchangeable?

I notice the replacement turn signal switch stalks are all different from mine, so I was wondering if I can use mine? I haven't seen the replacement for mine as yet.

That's exactly what I wondered years ago when my new-to-me car had the original (probably) stalks with 230K miles on them. And main beam came on when cancelling the flashers.

But the replacements had the later logos (my stalk was different again to yours). I looked at the switch; you might be able to dissemble the new switch, swap in your old stalk and swap over the new electrical contacts. But part of what was worn out on mine were the detents - the "click" when you go from one position to the other.

So I just fitted the stalk with the later logo. And as soon as I felt what a new switch felt like to operate, I ordered one for the other side. Because it was also clearly totally worn out...

My detents are worn down as well.
