South African 1969 911S
I am currently looking to purchase a 1969 911S. The original country of purchase was South Africa. The driver and passenger seats are leather but are without head rests (and no holes in the seats for the head rests either). Does anyone know whether this was a normal specification for South Africa
Kardex has two references: 9853 LEATH C, for the interior 9239 SITZ LED, for an addition line item in the Kardex Any insight would be gratefully received |

Maybe post the VIN and engine serial number. One of the guys will be able to tell you if it's a real 911S.

I don’t know about South Africa, but even in most of Europe front headrests weren’t required until well after 1969.

I only recently noticed in a European '69 S that it didn't include headrests so possibly early '69 as well as '68 for foreign Euro delivery chassis didn't include this safety feature as was required in US
after '68 . I personally have a '68 S that doesn't include headrest provision , Bert
