What's the prognosis?
Removing the gear oil on a 915 transmission to replace o-ring gasket. I was told the transmission had been rebuilt (and I have less than 1K miles.) Do I have a reason to be concerned? Is this 'normal' magnet pick up given the circumstances?
Please tell me that there is no reason to be concerned! Thanks! Tony

I'd agree. No big chunks.

The metal deposits on the magnet can look far worse then they. Get a cloth and wipe them out and then feel how small the parts are, you may be (pleasantly)surprised

Looks like your gears and stuff are making friends, in a good way.
