76 Carrera 3.0 battery?
Trying to find a proper replacement for a grey market Carrera 3.0 and its rather frustrating. Before I just grab any battery with the same output and size, I figured I'd ask here if someone has a recommendation.

h6/group48 will be fine, just put one in my 77. You can really use any battery that will fit. I was looking at the h5 as well. PC925 fits or odessey red top group 34 if I remember correctly.

Stock size for 911s is a Group 49 battery. A shorter Group 48 is a great alternative, as it's a lot easier to fit into the battery area and (confirm first), the battery tray's predrilled to claim down a Group 48 too. Be sure to spring for an AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) battery, as they will not boil over/leak like a conventional "wet" lead acid battery. I've been using AGM Group 48 batteries in my air conditioned '86 targa for over a decade (first one lasted around 8 years) and have had zero issues. I personally look for the cheapest AGM Group 48 battery I can find, as only a very few manufacturers make the various brands out there -- think Autozone, Costco, Walmart, etc.
