Anyone know of this car in Houston? 3.6 conversion car

Hello! I'm hoping this is the correct subforum to post.

I'm posting this on the remote possibility that someone knows (or knows of) this car and can shed a bit more light on his/her history...

I'm looking at an '87 sitting at a local dealership that's had a 3.6 conversion. Sadly the selling dealer has zero info on the conversion, except that he decoded the engine number to discover its from a 964. Here is the link to the listing, vin number of the car and the engine number, etc.

Engine number- 62L15356 (unless i'm not reading it correctly?)

From the carfax, car seems to have been in California as well as Florida.

I appreciate any thoughts!
