Which plugs for a 71T with a 2.7

Car has webers
good running condition
fresh top end
partsclassic rebuilt distributor, no vacuum thing
Pertronix ignition
CDI box, partsclassic coil

Right now the car has NGK BPR5ES

Is this too hot of a plug?

Car starts right up, takes a few seconds to 'clear' from a cold start. Hot start no issues.
Off idle is good, very revvy
Car was setup at elevation, but when i brought it to sea level the mains were adjusted and rebalanced and tuned the carbs. Running good. Get a LITTLE bit of a dead spot in transition, but just floor it and all is well in the world :-)

Thoughts? Any benefit of running 1 step colder?

I ran NGK BP8es in my 2,5 and now in my 3,0 with carbs. No fouling. Stock CDI on both motors.

5s are too hot IMO, you might want to go to 7s for street use.

you really need to take a look at the plugs to determine what heat range you need,

you could try a 7 and see.

if you do a lot of idling and stop and go driving you might like the 5, but again look at the plugs.

you would want a colder plug for the track.

I actually ran a very very cold (turbo) plug in my 77 with CIS. it did not foul and actually looked very good after a 500 mile trip. but it was pure black after driving around town. it never fouled though.
I just did it as a test to see what would happen.

Ok. I’m going to try 1 step colder and work from there.

I put in a BPR6ES and running better, it seems a bit smoother. Starts up fine and clears up about the same after cold start. I drive the car pretty hard, not much traffic.
