Measurements Targa/Cab Release Handle Hello all, I have a 1985 Carrera convertible that is missing the targa/cab top release handle/release key for the roof lock. Pricing is outrageous and fabricating these should be fairly easy. I could try to design it on the fly but it would be great if a fellow Pelican could post measurements of a key that they have in hand, i.e. round stock size, cross pin size, cross pin position, etc. Thanks in advance! I'll draw one up for you. Matt |

Not sure how much of the detail is critical. The pin is tapered, probably for ease of assy. There is a notch at the top, I think this is what captures the key if you press it in all the way. And another step to 4mm further down the shaft. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1568391757.JPG |

Matt, VERY nice! Thanks for the quick reply - hope this helps others also. Richard |

I thought I saw Rennline was making these. Might want to check. |

They're $61 new for a reproduction. I guess that's not cheap, but I wouldn't call it outrageous either. Certainly more cost effective to buy one than fabricate. |
