Ground cable on 77 911
Will a 911 start without the Tranny ground cable and clutch cable connected? 77 3.0 Carrera not that it probably matters.
Thanks in advance. |

Tranny Ground.....
The clutch cable has nothing to do with your starting problem. You could start your car even with the absence of clutch cable. However, you need a good working starter, a well charged battery with good grounding to crank your engine. The engine/trans ground straps provide additional grounding.

The engine/transaxle ground strap does NOT provide additional grounding for ANYTHING!
It IS, IN FACT, the PRIMARY GROUND for the ENTIRE ENGINE ELECTRICAL SUBSYSTEM!!!
