Engine identification
I have an engine with engine number: 63D4335.
I get this for a 1983 3.0l, it is also stamped 930/20 on the block which the 3.0l engines don't have what I know. It's a complete 3.2l injection on the engine. Is it possible to see if it is a 3.0l or 3.2l engine in some other way? |
Motor
930/20 is a 3.2 84-86
I don’t recall the 20 being US or ROW because the other number is /21 Bruce |
The EURO engines will start with a 63
The USA engines will start with 64 This applies to 3.0 and 3.2 The 930/20 is all 84-89 euro 3.2 and will have designation 63E= 84 63F= 85 63G= 86 63H= 87 63J=88 63k=89 A 930/21 is a USA spec 3.2 and would start with a 64 and have the same letter to MY correspondence A 63 D should be a 930/10 1983 Euro 3.0 A 63 D with a 930/20 designation ? I am not sure what you have but it does not come up in any of my notes or info. Porsche has been known to do some weird stuff especially at the end/ beginning of a model change so it could be possible you have a super early Euro 3.2 ? If you post some close up pics all around we might be able to tell more |
