Lighter packages ship at lower cost with USPS compared with other shipping options. Be aware that unless using Priority Express International (PEI), other forms of USPS insurance are only valid up to our borders. Beyond that, the overseas postal service takes over for delivery.

With an ECU in a USPS Priority box, suggest using PEI (est. $65-$75) with full insurance.

Some countries now have full tracking for priority mail with insurance to the door.
Best to ask the postmaster.
If they do, it is less $ than the express international option.

I always use USPS flat rate boxes. Cheap as chips and have been reliable for me. https://www.easypost.com/usps-flat-rate-boxes-and-pricing
