Thermal time switch
Hello I have a 76 911s. I purchased a new thermo time switch. I have the red and yellow wires that goes to it but need to know witch wire goes on the large post of the switch and which one goes on the small post. I have wire diagrams but it doesn’t explain this. Thanks

The wires should have corresponding connectors. one larger than the other.

i didnt realize the 76 even had a thermo time switch .. i though that started on the SC ? does that go on the drivers side timing cover ?

Yes on the driver side timing cover

Red/black on large post. Yellow on small post.
TTS started in maybe 75 when they got rid of the warm up lever beside the brake. |

MFI cars had a thermal time switch.

May make less difference than many think; I ran the 930 one winter and it'd fire instantly with 1/4" of ice on the windshield. In the spring, I realized the TTS was disconnected.. |
