gerabox mount question

Hello. I have just changed my engine and gearbox mounts on my 1982 911 sc (euro) as i live in Ireland. My question is, how many "seats" are used on the gearbox mounts?
The engine i know uses 4, 2 on each mount. In the parts book for my year it shows only one on each gearbox mount on the underside, but when i removed the old mounts they were set up like the engine mounts with two on each? Does anyone have any thoughts on the correct amount/set up? could there have been an Porsche update at some point like there was with the "which direction to place the seats" back in the day. Thanks in advance. Cheers David

There is only one "seat" on each trans mount on my '84 Carrera. I think the technical bulletin was only for the motor mounts.

I have used 2 on the trans mounts, 1 on top and 1 on the bottom for as long as i can remember and all of your G50 mounts 87-89 use a dimpled top side specific washer. It will work either way as i have seen both many times. Its not critical just make sure if you use 2 that the bolt has enough length.

Thanks Porschyard. Ok i will leave the two set up as is. Good point about the length of the bolt, i was thinking that too when it was going back together. Bolt went in well and had enough thread coverage.
