Do NOT waste your time installing new bushings on the coupler. Get the PSJ and never look back. I cant understand why everybody doesnt do this..

I just did the wevo coupler (PSJ), and clamp then the shifter a week later. My take is that:
Coupler/clamp - make shifting more precise. The coupler is basically replacing worn components with new. Shifter - forces a shift stick "home" @ the intersection of the no gear selected plane and the 3rd to 4th gear plane. They both take some adjustments to get everything set, but IMO well worth the time and money. |
I know why guy's don't do it ($). But it's worth every penny.

The shifter is a very nice piece of kit. Which ever coupler, doesn’t matter, a quality unit is all that is required. A precision shifter and floppy coupler doesn’t make sense. Not sure why someone would spend this kind of coin on a shifter and not replace the very next component in line that insures all that precision is utilized.
When I was adjusting my coupler a couple of mm’s was all it needed, micro adjustments. |
Is there any play in the shifter with the Wevo system ? Just went out for a leisurely spirited drive in the 915, yeah, 3rd gear the shifter was "loose" to put it mildly but has no issue staying in gear at all nor finding it.

I have the siene kit installed and shifting is better (along with stromski coupler/new bushing etc)
BUT I seeme to almost pop out of first...I just need instruction on if the coupler install is too far toward the front of the car or the rear |
