A couple coil-over questions
Does anyone know how much a coil over shock kit costs for the rear of a 911?
I saw on one of the BB11's treads that you have to stiffen the towers and engine bay for the coil-overs. But do you need a roll cage? I don't want to put a cage in the car Thanks |
You don't need a roll cage. (This is all assuming you're not going to be running it in off road rallies.) Reinforcing the shock towers is a very good idea, but I know of some people who are making do without and have had no problems so far. But that's not ideal, obviously. Personally, I wouldn't run coilovers without at least seam-welding the perimeter of the shock tower caps.
I think the rear coilovers run around $650 plus incidentals. |
Can I make my own coilovers with my bilstein ClubSports as core?.
Welding on a threaded pipe I can buy at my local speedshop. Is that possible without to buy complete coilovers as I think itīs not so very special items. |
Thanks Tyson
