I get it. It is great advice. However nobody ever said I was the smartest guy on the block so why try and change either one of those things now haha

Great find.. Take your time and enjoy the journey.. I have been working on my 914-6 GT clone for 4 years now and just chipping away at it.. I have owned a bunch of really nice 911s and to be honest enjoy the journey almost more then when they are done.

dont think I have ever looked at this thread. but just realized I had this experience.

about 6 yrs ago my cousin started telling me about a 930 for sale. at the time I had three cars, two in the process of major work. but after a few exchanges I decided to call the guy and go look.

it was sitting in a barn...

it was a 78 SC that had undergone a 930 conversion in 1989. lots of pics and receipts. car was not running, the muffler case had cracked open and the hot exhaust gas burned the wiring in the engine bay.

a bit of a long story and if anyone is interested here is a link to my build thread. on yr 6 and in process of stripping tub for paint.
