Question Seat Covers?

Being that the leather seats in my Targa are just about perfect, I was thinking of installing some seat covers to keep them that way.

Any recommendations? I'd like something non-descript rather that something with lettering/advertising all over it. I also want to make sure it will keep the leather preserved.

Thanks!

Hey Sea,
I bought the okole seat covers for my car after I first bought it.
The covers I bought are black with red centers but you can get solid black. You can also get them with out the logo on the headrest which is what I got. My seats are a little rough so I wanted to cover them but I recently took off the drivers side to wash it and the seat underneath looks fine after 2 years of being on. They are wet suit material so they breath and they are comfy
winter or summer.

I know some people have said they don't like them but I think they work great

Sheepskins!
They've been on my '79Sc since the car was new. 50,000 miles and 24 years later, the seats are still in brand new condition. Expensive, yes, but you get what you pay for.

if you go with the dead animal and it is dyed, put something on the seat to keep the dye from bleeding. i had just a small hide to sit on in the truck, but after about 7 years the stink became quite pugnent.

I have the Wet Okole in black. I have a tan interior but prefer the black.

The seat covers are great. Cool in the summer and resistant to water. They are soft. They do raise you up in the seat and are a bit more cushy.

Just take them off and let the seats breathe.

They fit real nice and do not move once on. They slip through the bottom and attach with velcrow.

Sea did you post pics of the new car?

I thought you were supposed to enjoy the leather until it started to crack, and *then* put covers on 'em.

Is the car an investment of money, or love? -*zen*-

I agree with old_skul. I bet Pwds, I think thats his handle, does not have him in his 911s and his seats probably look as nice as the rest of his car.

Maybe just taking real good care of them, that is using a good leather treatment is all you need. Seat covers look goofy in a 911. (IMO)

Great looking car BTW.

85 Euro take a look mine. They look normal. Most people have no idea i have seat covers.

I am not a fan of them, but I know my leather is being protected from the sun and me sliding over it.

Cant see them in any of your photos PDACPA. I guess I didnt think about the sun deal, and with a Targa, well maybe its not such a bad idea. Maybe after I see what you have I may change my mind.

My wife is in Sarasota right now while I am looking out a window at a cold, wet, dreary day. :-(

Cool

if you are into big rides.. the road and engine harmonics gets reduced about 40%.. so instead of being beat after 10hrs. you can get 14 for the same beating.. besides that sheepskins are cooler in the summer, and warmer in the winter.. but they're not for everyone
