Dash Lights

Converted over to the EL-Wires illumination a few years back and want to go with LEDs instead. Looking for a kit - anyone know of any out there. It is for a 78 911SC.

Those offered by Carmagic are pretty popular. That's what I'm planning to buy.

They have two options, bright white and a more vintage hue.

Go with Engelbert/Carmagic. Great products/service. You won’t believe the difference in your dash gauge lighting. Also, don’t forget to add a fuse to the dash lighting if you haven’t already done so...

Thanks for the replies - checked them out at carmagic - a little proud, but beats manufacturing your own with garage parts - so I went with them.

I have the Carmagic kit in Bright Whites from Englebert as well and am completely satisfied.

I'm considering buying his H4 LED headlights as it's a pretty good price

I have Carmagics Bright & Classic, one set in each of my cars. Both are excellent / no brainer upgrades. Definitely add a fuse to the gauge lighting circuit while you're in there.

FWIW, I prefer the Classic bulbs. They are still plenty bright. No question that the original incandescents were borderline criminally negligent (just like the H5s).

^^^ ^^^ I went with the bright ones - follow famoroso's comment ref fuse, I had done the same.

fyg I lost dimmer functionality as warned, which doesn't bother me - but if it is a concern to you, consider to purchase his in-line dimmer switch as well.

Jason
