mfi accelerator springs

besides the springs on the throttle bodies and the clock spring on the throttle shaft, are there any other springs on the accelerator rod, shaft, etc?

thanks

throttle lever spring

Mark
thanks
I see that one but was wondering if there is one other than the clock spring types on the throttle bodies, the cross arm and the mfi pump.

seems odd that there isn't one on the linkage connector that goes to the connector on the transmission.

Over time linkage & bushings get worn and start to drag a little. Really not much return spring tension compared to the carburetor set up. I added a spring to the accelerator bell crank on the trans as you mentioned.

I forgot one, the return spring on the accelerator pedal. I'll look at my set-up and let you know what spring I used.

I was thinkiing that there should be one on the transmission connection, one on main linkage at the motor, and as you mentioned it would be good to have one on the accelerator pedal.

I have 3 MFI motors and I applied springs as needed. Down at the bellcrank on the trans is an optimum spot but more help may be needed at the throttles themselves, but if everything is free, light pressure should suffice. Assuming your system is not new, the additive wear in all the components is I feel what creates the slight bind that requires the spring assist. Bob
