68 911 Wiring Help

I am trying to figure out the wiring in my 1968 911 engine compartment.

Could somebody take a look at the attached photos and tell me where the wire I am holding is suppose to go. Also please take a look and see if everything else looks correct. Appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

My beat guess based on looking at the photo on my phone. Maybe item 7 fuel pump based on the T connector?

68 911 wiring

I think its needs to be connected to 87 (NO contact) from the relay ? (if there's isn't a wire connected there already)

Thanks guys. I'll have to go through the schematic again.

Relay contact 87 is connected to the left side of the ballast resister. You can't see it in the picture but its the wire that runs behind the coil. Contact 30 on the relay is not connected.

If I look at the wiring diagram, contact 30 should go to the terminal block. That doesn't seem right to me in this configuration. Something isn't right here.

This is what I got from the schematic. Slightly different than what I have currently. Any suggestions short of rewiring everything?

To the best of my knowledge the red switched power wire goes to the single side of the 3 way connector, one side of the output goes to the relay to be determined whether it bypasses the resistor when cranking, the other output goes directly to the fuel pump.

Wow Ed, beautiful picture. Really nice engine panel. Thanks for the picture!
Looks like that free wire of mine would go to the relay connection 30
