3 point harness question

For fear of persecution I just want to caveat that I have spent a lot of hours researching this problem and couldn't find a suitable answer so I was hoping that a wise pelican can help with some lateral thinking.

I have a 930 with a Brey Krause harness bar and I've removed the very nice 4 pt Scroth Harnesses (in For Sale section) to mount a set of period correct Repa reproduction Y harnesses (3 point=> left lap point, right lap point and single point for shoulder Y straps). The car is styled on a 73 RSR so ive backdated the interior to suit and changing the awesome but non period correct scroth harnesses is the last job.

My concern is that I truly do not want to drill holes in the car as it is a nice old 930 after all and might have a future life styled back as a 930 - who knows.

I am unsure where to mount the single point shoulder strap to?

Options that I have considered and rationale for not wanting to do it:
Parcel shelf in corner per original st/rsr: I don't want to drill holes or weld anything
Furthest outer eye bolt of the rear seat: preferred but harness will have a weird offset instead of being centered with driver and passenger seats
Wrap around Brey Krause bar: don't think it is structurally approved and seems risky
Drill eye bolt into firewall directly behind mid-point of each seat: I don't want to drill holes
Modify single point harness so it has an "X" and I can anchor to both rear seat eyebolts left and right eg no longer a "Y" strap: a lot of messing around to reproduce the repa belt with an "X" and loses period correctness
Install a roll cage and wrap around a structural transom: don't want to run a cage

If I had to do any of the above im leaning towards using the furthest outside eye bolt where the rear lap belts are. The only issue is the harness will not be centered behind the seat. Going through the Brey Krause guides (eyelet) will kind of help it straighten up before the seat but its still kind of weird? Has anyone seen it done like that?

So therefore - can anyone teach me where to mount that "Y" point given my constraints above? Given that ive got all the eye bolts from the previous 4 point harness already there I would prefer to use one of those.

Strange thought - has anyone seen turnbuckle that goes from each rear seatbelt anchor points with a mid point anchor mounting point directly behind the chairs? I question the strength as you would be a good couple of inches left and right of the factor anchor point in that kind of setup but maybe someone fabs these?

thanks!

The factory bolt locations should still be there. One on the B pillar for the shoulder strap guide and one inside the car on the sheet metal next to the jump seat.

This thread has some pictures that may help you locate the factory points. Gordo's Seatbelt Replacement - '83 911 SC

Post some pictures of what you have. It may help us help you.

Thanks Harry - this is what I mean - where to attach the point denoted by the large question mark. im leaning towards the little question mark anchor point (the outside anchor for the rear seats). Excuse the terrible picture...

Hmmm. Not sure you can use a factory point.

My Schroth Rallye 4 harness has the X configuration and uses the rear seat belt mounting points.

Yep the Rally-e "X" config was one of the options that I have been thinking about, I would need to take the belts in somewhere to have them modified. id prefer to keep it true Y. The X style is my fallback..

thanks Harry (I kept seeing your pic over and over on google search today!)
