901 trans speedo drive removal

Quick question...

Set screw removed. Speedo angle gear removed. Should the entire shaft just "slide" out including the aluminum flange piece? Pic below... It's pretty stuck in there, but I haven't used any tools. Should I use the old angle gear drive threaded part and fashion a tool to pull (maybe with small slide hammer)?



Fixing an annoying oil leak there...

Answer to my own question...

Put the old angle drive back in and a few light taps with a small hammer and it slid out. Waiting on seals and reassembly time - new clutch, TO, and all seals.
