Air Conditioning hose is the Red one. Looks like Vacuum Hose. The Fuel Hoses are the (2) smooth Black ones. Len (The Hose Guy) :) |
oh, good I found a hose guy :-) - vacuum for what? The car is running great..

Looks small for an EGR vent, but may be a vent of some kind. Which 911 are you asking about? This is a great forum. You may have a fellow Pelican right around the corner with the same 911 as yours. Len :) |
Carbon canister hose?
|
as mentioned, looks like charcoal canister tunnel hose to gas tank vent

Probably hooks to expansion tank in the left inner fender after it travels through the metal tube in the tunnel. I know there were different variations and I believe some of the early 911's had the tank in the front and some just vented to atmosphere in front. However, if there is a hose going to the rear, I bet the canister is back there. |
Just as a general rule, AC hoses have refrigerant under pressure running through them. They are larger and tougher than that tiny little hose. Only a vacuum hose could be that small. And you will likely want to fix that hose if it goes to the vacuum canister. If you don't the gasoline fumes will be strong in your garage.
