Sunroof

Hey all. Question for the experts: 911 SC sunroof coupe. On the sunroof drive, or transmission, there is a slot screw that has to be removed to use the manual crank. Does the drive work to move the sunroof fore and aft without this screw, or must it be in place to get the sunroof to move with the motor?

On mine you definitely need the screw in place. To adjust, I tighten the screw to the point where the sunroof opens and closes completely, and then leave it at that "setting". Anything less tight than that point and the sunroof will not work completely, or even at all.
