Play in front torsion bars when unloaded?
I was inspecting various components on my 911 yesterday and noticed that with the car supported via jack stands, suspension unloaded, the front torsion bars have play in them.
I can wiggle the assembly that is facing the rear of the car, where the adjustment bolts are. Both driver side and passenger side is the same. I assume this is normal, as the suspension is completely unloaded, but wanted to confirm there. I have video if helpful. The adjusters will be hanging loose with a gap at the top of the stud when the car is on the lift, unless it's set at paris-dakar height.

Thanks John, that was what I observed, but I was unsure if there was a bushing that would the torsion bar from having any play.
Thank you! |

The bushing is on the a-arm and the torsion bar doesn't ride in it.
