Show me your aftermarket HID headlight ballast mounting solutions

Have enjoyed a hid kit for several years but recently lost a ballast.

Ordered some new upgraded ones but never loved the double sided tape (didn’t hold) approach in the sheet metal in front of my battery (odyssey 925 so had some room)

Need to install these and would love to see some creative options to mount more securely.

Thanks!

Sorry but no creative solution here except for some quality 3M foam tape. I actually mounted my ballast on the left inner fender about a year ago. I postponed the battery side as I was waiting to get rid of the monster battery and go to a odyssey/Rennline setup.
I used this tape along with cleaning of the surfaces with alcohol and have not had any issues with the ballast moving or falling. The main reason for using foam tape is I did not want to drill any holes in the car.

Where/How did you mount your ballast?

I had HID in my H5s zip tied the ballast to the frame work on the rear of the headlight, I have since changed to Audette LEDs

Mounted mine inside the trunk then ran the wiring through the body right behind the headlight buckets.

Here’s what my plan is at this point. Jigsaw + 1/4” mdf. Uses the factory big battery 8mm hole with black bolt and washer. Ballasts will be screwed down to this in front of the 925. Some crude pics. Good finished pics to follow after black paint dries.

Back side of the front slam panel. Make a bracket out of 1” aluminum and attach to two of the several bolt studs by the driver’s side.
