911Max Performance Chip
I have a stock '88 3.2 that runs well, although I sometimes experience a wee bit of bucking at slower speeds. Had an '85 and bought a Steve Wong chip to help with that problem and was very pleased at how it smoothed out the ride.
Was thinking of buying a SW chip for my '88, but noticed that Pelican is also selling the 911Max chip for the 911 at about $150 less... Has anyone used the 911Max chip or know anything about it? I don't mind spending the extra $$ for a SW chip, but would also like a bit of feedback before pulling the trigger. |
I installed a SW chip when my 89 still had a 3.2 , you just can't go wrong with SW and you get the technical support that comes with it.
I would probably sell it if i could find it , as my car now has a 3.6 with a custom SW chip ! |

unfortunately I heard Russel Berry died in a motorcycle wreck. I had his multiboard in my 85 that I sold last year and saw a noticeable improvement on the track. was coming up on shift points faster than the old AA chip. the 3.2 is the only 911 he made a chip for according to the last time I talked to him, that was the only test mule he had available.
I now have his chip in my 86 951. RIP Russel. |
