Bolt on rear spoiler....
Maybe a year ago, someone from the board had a spoiler for sale that bolted to a plain factory decklid, through the holes where the grill goes. Since then i have not been able to find anyone who makes or sells a similar one. If memory serves me correct, it was also a (small) bi-plane style.
Has anyone else ever seen one like this? If so do you know where i could check one out? |

I believe M A Shaw builds one like this...check Bill Verburg (?) who I think did this on his earlier car. Correct...it wasn't a normal Carrera or Turbo wing...my recollection was that it was some sort of bi-wing style that mounted using grill mounting hardware.

That may have been my tail. It was a 3.6 RS bi-wing tail that was on my 1970 911 when I bought it. It did bolt right into the existing grill holes but looked horrible on my narrow bodied car.
The PO bought it from the 'pretty catalog company' for a lot of $$. I did sell it luckily! It did do some damage to the paint on my decklid even though it had a rubber gasket between the tail and the decklid. Here is a pic. ![]() --Dan |
