CDI Mounting hardware?
Can someone post a photo showing he hardware used to mount the CDI to the backing plate in the engine bay?
Looks like there are 3 holes in the CDI and 3 holes in the mounting plate where some sort of nuts and bolts should be. My car is a '71 not sure how much the CDI and mounting system changed over the years. I understand I could use any old hardware to make this work. However, after discovering my CDI was not attached at all I would like to see what was originally used and mount it correctly.

The factory used 6mm Allen head about 15 mm long. The later cars, mid years use a captive nut but I had a 72 recently that just had nuts to thread.
Pull the nuts holding the panel in place and thread the bolts to install the CD. Bruce |
