911 SC alternator question
Hello Fellas,
today I took the fan out of my SC to split the unit and refurbish it. Did that back in 2012 already but not in aprofessional manner. My car is an early 79 SC and built in late 78. Most parts ar stamped 78, such as the fan and housing. Now my question, set is this working alternator with external regulator. Except the sticker carrying the number 911 603 120 BX it has no marking/branding. May this be a S.E.V. Marchal 71233002 ? And I need new coal sticks but can't find a replacement on www. Any idea? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1574028104.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1574028132.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1574028160.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1574028185.jpg |
Check these guys for parts. BTW, make sure your slip rings are not worn. https://www.aspwholesale.com/index.php?seo_path=alternator-parts%2Fmotorola
Looks like a Marchal BTW. |
well, thanks, I have a wholesaler in Germany... but I need to identify the alternator first to continue the search
|
I believe it is a Marchal alternator - looks just like mine (81 911SC). I had a local shop recently rebuild mine.

looks identical, thanks.
mine was rebuilt in 2012, thats why the (new) cap doesn't carry the "SEV Marchal" stamp anymore. any idea about the coal brush unit? can't find it to buy... |
