Broken O2 sensor plug fix for CIS?

My 1981 911SC starts, idles and runs just fine. Several months ago though, I discovered my O2 sensor plug (inside the engine compartment) was broken , and engine seems to run a rich at idle.

I'm trying to figure out how to re-connect the wire without the broken plug. Since I don't have a good working knowledge of how to adjust the CIS (but I am willing to learn, I plan on buying the S&G K jet tester), I don't think it's a good idea to start fiddling with the mixture, since the car is running fine.

Wondering if anyone has photos of what the repair looks like. From my research on the forum, I think I need to remove the broken plug, and replace the connector and weather proof the connection.

Check out this thread below for a replacement part. I contacted the OP of the thread below (louie85) via PM just yesterday to see if he still offers the part but haven't gotten a response yet.

I installed a replacement like this in my 85 Carrera just over a year ago and it works great and does the job. Do not remember who I ordered it from but looks just like this new replacement.

I y try jink I bought mine from Louie85

I did the Louie85 fix several years ago, '84 3.2.

John Walker had the car in for a drop, clutch, trans rebuild four years ago and disconnected the sensor. He adjusted the mixture using the tailpipe sniffer and it's run like a Swiss watch ever since.

The part from Kroon is up, and Gerard tells me that shipping via Dutch Post is an option (though it is not an option on the website as of today) which will be much cheaper than UPS.

Anyone selling these in the US? The shipping seems to cost more than the part unfortunately.
