Cool First 911, picked her up last week!!

Well, it's official. I am the owner of a new to me 1982 911SC. Just picked it up from the shop last week, where it received a full tune-up, new clutch cable, and deck shocks. I would have posted sooner, but I wanted to have some pictures for the board, which means I had to wash and wax her first. Needless to say, I spent most of Saturday morning and afternoon outside washing and waxing, even though I was sick. My wife thought I was crazy, sneezing and sniffling, all with this silly grin on my face. I probably could have gotten the job done sooner, but I kept stopping to look at hercurves, the 911 that is, I know the neighbors probably thought I had a problem.

Congratulations! There is nothing better than taking your new baby home for the first time. I got my black on black 930 last August and the "feeling" is still there. More than once over the winter, I'd pour myself a Johnny Walker Black, walk into the garage, pull off the cover and just stare at her from different angles for an hour. My wife thinks I need some serious help...your car is beautiful.

The car looks great!
Happy to see a SC owner taking pride in his new ride.
Just one word of advice, don't drive the car with the custom yellow licence plate covers.

Welcome aboard.

Thanks for all the responses, I was hoping my novice detailing job passed muster here.

Harlan, it has the pop off valve, but it doesn't have the tensioners yet. That is my next project, however, it did get new guides when the engine was rebulit a few years ago.
