Anybody bought a car cover lately ?

Been trying to buy a cover for my 88 911. Tried here, did not work out well. Tried another company, not working out so far, still waiting on a response. I have received incorrect covers from two different companys.

I use carcoverstore.com and have bought covers for a 1970 911, 2012 997.2 Turbo S, and 2007 GT3. All were properly shaped and fit well.

I have an 88 as well and have been looking for a new one from 2 of the main companies. I still can't pull the trigger as the 50.00 shipping to Canada kills me. Now that I see you are having quality issues I am glad to wait and see.

I bet I have bought 4 or 5 covers from here. Never had an issue. Great covers, very well made.
Got one that was improperly made, company opted to give refund. Second company sent wrong cover.... still in negotiations on how to solve

I recently ordered a cover for my ‘74 from Costco. They use Covercraft. Previous cover, for our Boxster fit fine, this one had the mirror pockets too far back and the rear of the cover barely covered the back. Called Covercraft and they couldn’t care less. Returned it to the local Costco. No questions asked return. Sure simplifies the process.

Did you get the Coverking brand from our host? Mine fits perfectly and wasn't terribly expensive.

Yea, I ordered from our host.... I think they sent me a cover for a NO whale tail car, and I sent it back, they gave me a refund. I have a cover on my car now that I got from our host, love it !
Fits really well, however, it’s very worn out.

Coverking from our host for multiple cars. if I was unsure of the selection for mirrors, tail etc I call the company and have a rep guide me through the ordering process.

Perfect fit every time.

My Cover King from our host worked OK thru two snow seasons. I bought it for the warranty. When it stated to rot and rip, I called Customer Service at PP. No record of purchase. Have a nice day...

Wasn't happy with that, I'll be buying a cheapo from Homey Doh. At least thy honor warranties and have better prices. If it isn't an exact fit, I don't care.

Mike, you can pull up your order history here on the Pelican website... they go waay back. It's kind of a pain if you have moved around like I have, but still possible. You just have to try all the zip codes you lived in. One tip - when you bring up the list of orders, right click and open each one in a new tab so you can keep track of them. Sometimes when you try a different zip code, I see the same order again... i think because i had the same billing zip code.
YMMV.

I know where I lived when I bought it....the reason I called CS was "I" couldn't find it in my purchase records. Neither could they. They seem to drop the ball on service of non Porsche items of late.

Live and learn.

I have two quality indoor 911 covers with extra material for a tail i never use. If any local Seattleish people are interested in a good cover or two, $50 each. Original price/s were $200. PM please and locals only since shipping is an expensive PITA.

I have had good luck with used covers .
These are Porsche type , have bought 3 for my 4S , Boxster, and 82 SC?
They average $100-$150 typically over $300 for new.
Usually on the classified PCA site

Mine is on it's way and free shipping to Canada! Maybe the web site didn't catch my location change
Price was good for an indoor cover so we'll see about fit and finish. I hate using the table saw and haveing to use the compressor to "clean" the car.

Just ordered one a few weeks ago for our Beck GTS/904. www.autochic.com
They had the pattern in house. Who has a pattern for a super limited production run of cars like that?? Our neighbor uses them for his collection of high line cars and is, has been, very pleased.
