solid oil return tubes or 2 piece

I have the 2 piece oil return tubes on my 930.
starting the rebuild soon. should I use the one piece ones

cant find the smog pump plugs that go in the heads except at Patrick motor sports.
$30 for the plugs which is ok but $20 for shipping

You likely have 2 piece because there once was a leak. I personally would use the factory one piece.

One piece, and use 1/8" hex head pipe plugs for the air injection ports.

pipe plugs?

from where.
any kind of locktite oin them

are the cheap one piece ones from here ok.
all 4 of mine were collapsible.
I do like the looks of the one piece better.

getting minor things together for my rebuild.
almost all machine work is done.
waiting on case and some other parts to be cleaned.

got the heads back and the plugs were removed.
twin plugged and ported to 38mm

Yes, but there is no such thing as cheap

Pipe plugs are tapered so they bind up tight and the thread size is real close to the 10 x 1.0 in the heads. Any decent hardware, auto parts or plumbing store would have them. Hex head brass, not allen or square head. Used them forever. No sealer needed.

The hex head pipe looks cool, And it’s much cheaper than the metric thread bolts at Ace.

Oops on the one piece return tube.
