Can you identify a voltage regulator from a picture?

a) Is this the voltage regulator.
b) If so, do ya know what kind it is?

Hint: '73 motor, '71 car

As you may have seen in my other thread, my batteries dies last weekend, and I have had the bright/dim headlights. I'm taking the car to the shop tomorrow for other stuff anyway, and if it turns out the regulator is bad, I'd like to know what to order.

Thanks! -Jon

replace that thing with the yellow tape on it, and see if the headlights stabilize. it's the same bosch unit as used on all 914s and vw busses, 72-79. a voltmeter would tell you before and after voltage.
